Women’s Empowerment Brunch in Chester Township

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Chester Township hosted a Women’s Empowerment Brunch on Saturday, February 25th, ahead of Women’s History Month, at the Fairgrounds Community Center in Chester Township. Sponsored by the Delaware County Housing Authority and Keystone First, the event hosted by Tosha Little, Support Services Coordinator for the Fairgrounds Senior Complex, featured a panel discussion, networking, inspiration, and a catered brunch.

The theme of the brunch was “Empowering Women to Become the Best Versions of Themselves.” Panelists included the CEO of Hush Collections, LLC, Natasha Jones; Founder/CEO of PrettiBIGDeal, LLC, Sharon Johnson; Special Events Coordinator from The Missing Plug, Crystal Burrell; CEO/Therapist, Anitra Green, LCSW; Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of M& T Bank, Tamika Friend.

Along with networking opportunities, there were giveaways, a photo booth, and many more surprises.

Attendee Tiffany Beauford, a local entrepreneur and long-time supporter of women’s empowerment had the following to say, “Women supporting each other is essential to the success of all women, and it doesn’t cost anything. We all have our individual trials and tribulations, mountains to climb, personal pains, losses, and gains…encouraging one another makes a huge difference. In many cases, a simple word of encouragement could make the difference between success and failure. I had support and encouragement, and I do my best to pass it on to my daughter and my peers.”
