Based on SEPTA video footage, it appears that as many as ten SEPTA passengers were on the Frankford/Market El Train heading to 69th and Market Streets Wednesday evening, October 13, 2021, at approximately 11:30 p.m., when a female rider was raped by a homeless man. Normally I would use the word “allegedly” raped but seeing as the whole sex crime was caught on camera, I don’t think I should have to say “alleged.” Shamefully, not only was the vicious attack caught on SEPTA video surveillance cameras, but the SEPTA footage also shows that a number of the ten passengers who were on the train as the woman was being raped, filmed with their cell phone cameras, no less.
