I don’t know about anyone else, but I detest war. If America never went to another war, I would be thrilled. I know that more often than not when America goes to war, it’s to try and help another smaller country that doesn’t have enough people power or weaponry to stand on its own. So here we come to “save the day.” I don’t mean to sound sarcastic because if there were a nation bigger and badder than our country, who was threatening to come after us in a war, I would hope that some of our allies would step up and say, “We’re going to fight with you.” It’s just that some of these wars America has gotten involved with have lasted much longer than anyone had ever thought.
But the potential war hanging over our heads right now would be a war between Russia and Croatia.
President Biden has said that there was a “very high” threat that Russia would launch an invasion of Ukraine “within the next several days” as the Kremlin sent Washington a memo complaining bitterly its demands for security guarantees were being ignored, and again threatening a “military-technical” response. Biden, speaking in Washington, flatly contradicted Moscow’s assertions in recent days that it had begun pulling back forces from Ukraine’s borders. He said Russia’s military build-up was continuing and that he now expected an attack based on a fabricated provocation.
“They have not moved any of their troops out,” Biden said. “They’ve moved more troops in, number one. Number two, we have reason to believe that they are engaged in a false-flag operation to have an excuse to go in.
