Lord, Bless Us This New Year So That Our Life May Be Better And Help Us To Have A Closer Walk With Thee. Amen
Last year was a year full of trials and tribulations–as well as joys and good times for just about all of us. Each of us has had happy moments we want to remember for years to come–as well as sad moments we wish to forget. But thru it all, the Lord our God kept us wrapped in His arms of protection, and we should be able to say, regardless of what happened last year, “THANK YOU, JESUS, you’ve been so good to me”!
I believe this New Year can and will be a good year if every one of us would do the following:
First, learn, and remember–to always put the Lord first in everything we do. If it had not been for the Lord on our side, tell me, where would we be? We should seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness first, and all things shall be added unto us. Trust in the Lord with all Thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
Second, we need to forget our past sins. All of us have sinned and come short of the glory of God. If we say that we have no sin, we have deceived ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If God can forgive us, we need to learn to love ourselves enough to do the same.
