Hey, Hey, Hey, My Beautiful Loving SCOOP USA MEDIA FAMILY! What a wonderful day in the neighborhood! Ladies and Gentlemen, My Brothers and Sisters, from time to time, you want and need a ‘Real Feel Good Story’ because we are bombarded with tearsfilled, heartbroken, hatebaked, pitiful, sickened, murderous feature stories of the day! (My Apologies for such a long, drawn-out expression, but this sickness we are caught up in must be called out whenever possible! Nonetheless, please forgive Me.) Everyone! Let’s move forward and stay focused on this Praiseworthy Moment, this Hallelujah, High Five, Greatly Thankful and Appreciative Occasion! Our Community has been neglected and taken advantage of over and over again. But this time, We witnessed the magnificent beauty of two prominent business owners in conjunction with the Laundry Cares Foundation, which gave the Community a good thing to clap your hands about. ‘A laundry-free day washing and being fed while you wait your time/turn to go in The Laundry Cafe! Yes, let me say it again! You were given the opportunity to ‘Wash Your Clothes For FREE, and you were fed while you waited your turn by the 52nd & Jefferson Street Mc-Donald’s! We all knew there would be a line, but no one could imagine a meal, drink, and dessert would be given to you while you waited. What a superb jester to do, but more importantly, to experience and/or witness!!! Everything was fantastic! Everyone was patient, cordial, and really cool in the line. They enjoyed the meal and were mighty pleased with the gifts, contributions, and love being shared that day.
In addition to the free wash and meal, volunteers read stories and gave away books to the children as their Family Members did their laundry. ‘Reading Helps Kids Learn’ a Children/Youth Partnership, pushed this childcare engaging entertainment. In closing, Ms. Danielle Dawkins ~ McDonalds Owner/Manager stated, ‘It is always a great pleasure to serve the community, the customers who so diligently patronize us!’
Mr. John Dawkins, who passed ‘The Torch, The Family Business’ to his daughter Danielle, filled her with the same devotion, dedication, and love he has always had and generously gave back to the Community!
I’m reminded of such a sensational serving of the Community by Bishop Bill Winston’s 10 Cities Operation, whereby the people were served abundantly and unconditionally by genuinely affectionately engaging the masses.
Using the words of Ms. Lisa Ferguson, ‘This is a wonderful, extremely inspirational opportunity for such a time as THIS! We definitely need LOVE and CARE for OUR COMMUNITY! GOD IS GOOD!’
Yes, Ms. Ferguson, Love, and Caring are without a doubt, a MUST in these Days and Times. Let’s Make It Happen!!!
