Tonya Baker: A gospel powerhouse inspiring millions

With over two decades in ministry and music, Tonya Baker has established herself as a beloved gospel artist, songwriter, and worship leader, admired for her vocal versatility, authenticity, and ability to inspire hope through her music. A Dayton, Ohio native, Tonya discovered her musical passion in her church choir, where her journey of faith and artistry began. Her upcoming album, Beyond My Song, will explore her personal growth and devotion to inspiring others to embrace their God-given purpose.
Her career boasts songwriting collaborations with renowned artists like Byron Cage, Percy Bady, Helen Baylor, and Lisa McClendon, as well as vocal contributions alongside gospel icons Dorinda Clark-Cole, Pastor Shirley Caesar, CeCe Winans, Fred Hammond, Tye Tribbett, and many others.
Tonya’s journey as an independent artist includes The Live Encounter (2011)—produced by Grammy® Award winner Myron Butler—and the heartwarming single like “Keep Pressing” Now, she delivers another soul-stirring worship anthem with her new single, Bless Your Name.
“This song is a personal anthem of worship and reverence,” Tonya shares. “I hope Bless Your Name encourages everyone who hears it to recognize God’s presence and lift their voices in praise, no matter where they are in life.”
The single highlights her commitment to excellence and authenticity as it uniquely ministers to the heart and soul. Written by Baker, Savage, and Schuyler Johnson, Bless Your Name is available now on all digital platforms through her independent label, Bakehouse Music Group. It also serves as the precursor to her much-anticipated upcoming album, Beyond My Song, set to release this year.
Beyond the stage, Tonya is dedicated to mentoring and encouraging new talent. She leads workshops, conferences, and seminars to nurture vocalists and worship leaders nationwide, ensuring the next generation carries forward the legacy of sincere worship.
Tonya currently serves as the Co-Executive Director of Arts and Music at The Potter’s House in Dallas, TX, where she continues to foster authentic expressions of worship.
