Lord, as we go through this holiday shopping time, help us to keep you in Christmas, to realize there are some things money can’t buy. Amen.
Well, it’s holiday shopping time. Merchants are selling, and folk are buying but remember a lot of things they can sell and a lot of things you can’t buy. You see,
They can sell you clothes. But you can’t buy a neat Appearance, Style or Attractiveness.
They can sell you shoes. But you can’t buy foot comfort and the pleasure of walking in the open air.
They can sell you candy. But you can’t buy happiness and the pleasure of good taste.
They can sell you furniture. But you can’t buy a home that has comfort, cleanliness, and contentment.
They can sell you books. But you can’t buy pleasant hours and the profits of knowledge.
They can sell you toys. But you can’t buy playthings to make your children really happy.
They can sell you tools. But you can’t buy the pleasure and profit of making fine things.
