The Truth Applied

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Human trafficking is a problem! Why is human trafficking being allowed? Why? Who is behind the human trafficking that we are seeing at the southern border? Who is benefitting from all the immigrants coming from various countries? How is this affecting the border states and the rest of the country? Why is it that some laws are embraced, while other laws are ignored? What are the current laws on the books in regard to immigration? Who’s job is it to enforce those laws?

The Bible says, “But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.” (1 Corinthians 7:2) I watched a movie called “8 days,” which was about a young lady being trafficked by a so-called friend. Human trafficking is a business for some people, and it is not just about sexual abuse, but taking advantage of people, in which fear of harm or death.

This is another form of slavery or what some people call cheap labor. Just imagine, someone having you work for food or work for free or perform sexual acts against your will. How would you feel? Why aren’t the people in leadership doing something about this? Is moving the migrants to another location stopping them from being trafficked? Think about this, if people came with what they can carry, how are they going to provide for themselves? Where are they going to live? How will they make money? Human trafficking is a problem! The Bible says, “As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.” (Psalm 103:13)

The Bible says, “Whoever steals a man and sells him, and anyone found in possession of him shall be put to death.” (Exodus 21:16) I believe, just like Minister Farrakhan, that someone who rapes someone is worthy of death. When a girl, boy, woman, or man is raped, even in prison, the perpetrator is worthy of death. The perpetrator took something that can never be replaced, and the damaging effects and victims must strive to heal. What type of person would think that it is ok to force themselves on another? Would you want someone to do this to you or any of your loved ones? I’m about 99% sure, your answer is no, so we should care and raise our voices against human trafficking no matter what the purpose. The Bible says, “And I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6:18)

What is going on at the Southern Border needs to be investigated! The incident with the officers on horses needs to be investigated! Who is not doing their job should be fired! People should not be allowed to just cross the border illegally. What about the people that come to the border the right way. Is it right that a person jumps the line? How can someone be rewarded for breaking the law? The law should be enforced, and in areas that need to change, the lawmakers should change them. The lawmakers took an oath. They need to do their job or resign. People are being trafficked, what are the lawmakers going to do about it? How are you going to help the immigrants? How are you going to help the people that voted for you? How are you going to help the people who live near the border that is being ill-affected by this crisis border?

The Bible says, “Like a city that is broken into and without walls is a man who has no control over his spirit.” (Proverbs 25:28) Please stay safe and informed! Peace be unto you!
