The Bible says, “She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong.” (Proverbs 31:17) Tuesday, August 24, 2021, marks the seventh day into the 90-day challenge for the people participating in Striving to Improve Physically, Mentally, and Spiritually. I pray that it is going well and you are feeling better with each passing day. We can do this! We can improve! The Bible says, “For nothing will be impossible with God.” (Luke 1:37) Like I stated, we can do this! Do everything in the name of God (Allah) to set the proper tone and align our desire with His word.
Please make sure that you purchase the necessary books that will help you improve on all levels and in the area that needs to improve immediately. Time management? Meal planning? Taking a class? Finishing a project? Exercising? Reading more? Praying more? How to start a business? How to expand your business? Customer Care? Becoming tech-savvy?
We can go on and on, posing different questions to stimulate thoughts on areas to address, but I believe you get the point, and most can agree they need to improve. The Bible says, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” (Joshua 1:8)
Please set realistic goals so that you will not set yourself up for failure. We want to do it successfully, and that requires us to take an honest look at our lives, then gauge on what we can get done in the 83 days left in the challenge. The Bible says, “But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.” (2 Chronicles 15:7) If you are exercising outside your home, try very hard to have at least one other person with you for safety reasons because assaults are happening daily. Also, strive to exercise in the daytime, in well-lit areas, and let someone know about your whereabouts even though you have a partner. Safety is first!
Did you identify at least four bad habits that you have? Can you stop doing those things? What four good habits could you replace them with? The Bible says, “To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” (Ephesians 4:22-24)
I am very excited still and making progress on my goals I set for this challenge. How about you? There are 23 people that I am aware of doing this challenge, and I hope more will join us. I work until I am tired! I am striving to maximize each day that I am blessed to live! Please stay safe and keep on striving to improve by being obedient to the true word of God (Allah)
