The Bible says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8)
Do you love yourself? Why? What is it that you love about you? How can you use what you love about yourself to help others?
We have more power than we think we have! We can change our condition, with the help of Allah (God), immediately! We need to always strive to improve our thinking! We need to be around other people doing what we like to do! Are you God-fearing? Do you like to be around other God-fearing people? If yes, what type of things does that group do? If yes, what are the conversations like? What do God-fearing people talk about? The Bible says, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)
Do we really strive to live by the word of God (Allah)? Is our living by the word of God (Allah) limited? Why? How? I strive to live by the word of Allah (God) in every aspect of my life! Allah (God) is the only reality! He is the standard! We are taught in the Nation of Islam, that the only thing that Allah (God) is going to accept is himself in us. Why is it so hard to reflect Allah (God) as a whole? Why is it so hard for people to respect other people as a whole? What can God-fearing people do to help reduce crime in our communities? Respect for each other’s differences and having real conversations with others will go a long way, but enforcement of the local laws is paramount.
When I think of Allah (God), I think of a problem-solver! The Bible says, “Complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.” (Philippians 4:8) We must remember that Allah (God) does not lie and cannot back us when we lie. We need to have real conversations and learn to listen first before responding or thinking about our response. The people of God (Allah) are very important in changing the condition in our communities because we care. Are you tired of all the negative headlines about black-on-black crime in our communities? Yes, we try to highlight the accomplishments of people like the young student Zaila Avant-garde who was the first black American to win the Scripps National Spelling Bee. I wonder what type of parents and teachers helped Zaila make history? But then I wonder, how many children were killed before their talent surfaced?
We can change our reality when we submit to God (Allah) and His laws. We should embrace freedom for every human being! Some groups fight for the rights of certain species, but who will fight for human beings? The God-fearing people should safely come together, respectfully working together and continuously being good examples to help improve the crime rate. We can do this! The Bible says, “put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” (Ephesians 4:22-24)
