The Republican National Committee (RNC) is not playing around. They say they’re very serious about getting more Black voters to register and vote Republican. To help them get there, one of the things the RNC is doing is opening “Black American Engagement Centers” in key cities across America. The RNC hosted a grand opening for a Black American Engagement Center at 5015 Wayne Avenue in the Germantown section of Philadelphia on February 24th and, of course, the goal is to attract more African Americans to the Republican Party.
Tommy Hicks, Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee, was on hand for the grand opening. Tommy Hicks stated, “We’re really excited about opening this center. Pennsylvania is a key battleground state for Republicans. We have some great candidates all over the place. What we need to do is make sure that we get people out there to vote, tell the story about why Republicans offer a better way than the Democratic party does right now. We’ve got a track record for creating jobs and opportunities for all Americans, and it’s going to resonate tremendously with this community we’re seeing here today.”
