The Origins of Parole

Reading Time: 2 minutes

“We have no law of our own, and no protection from the law in America, by it’s intention and by the very nature of the cultural values which determine it, is inimical to Blackness.” Robert Chrisman – Black Prisoners, White Law

The U.S. has the highest prisoner population in the world. The massive overcrowding and severe inhumane conditions within the walls of these penitentiaries continually lead to violence, death and disease.

One in every (3) Black men (ages 20-29) are in prison, parole or probation. The system of parole reinforces the modern-day Prison Industrial Slave Complex and assures healthy financial profits for all that invest. All so-called free Africans in America are on parole and are completely oblivious to the situation. When are Ancestors were granted the illusion of freedom under the Emancipation Proclamation, it was ultimately under a condition of generational parole.

Parole is a set of laws that we must abide by under colonization. Instead of physical bondage, we have a shackle and long link chain locked on to our ankles to limit our freedom.

PAROLE IS NOT COMPLEX,

PAROLE IS SLAVERY!

Parole is defined as the status of being released from prison, in which a prisoner has served part of his maximum sentence on the condition of being a well-behaved citizen.

While on parole, the released prisoner remains under the jurisdiction and supervision of a state agency until a final release is granted.

Parole simply guarantees room for newly captured Africans while remaining in complete control of prisoners that have hopefully been temporarily released.

“Recognizing the origins and the continued manifestation of our psychological bondage is the start of a self-healing process, which we as a people must engage in, both individually and collectively.” Dr. Naim Akbar
