PHILADELPHIA, PA, August 27, 2023 – Sheriff Rochelle Bilal, the Office of the Philadelphia Sheriff, and the NOMO Foundation held their Annual Back-to- School Prep Rally and Concert Extravaganza in conjunction with our community partners, corporations, nonprofit organizations, and other city agencies including Classic Hub, Hear For You Health Care, the Mayor’s Office of Youth Engagement, ODAAT, and more.
This is a great opportunity to mix education, entertainment, and empowerment all in a community, featuring bookbags, supplies, uniforms, coats, program resources, job opportunities, expungement assistance, haircuts, and vouchers. In addition, there was a concert promoting entertainment, healthcare resources, and family activities that celebrate the vision of a community free of violence.
“This time of year, parents and families in Philadelphia prepare to return to school. Our office and its partners recognize the burdens facing all Philadelphians, and this fun-filled family event provides opportunities and relaxation. The Office of the Sheriff will continue to provide community resources to help Philadelphians in their time of need. Bring your family and your kids to our Back-to-School Prep Rally this Sunday.” – Sheriff Rochelle Bilal
