Philadelphia’s own Novee Records is now managing, Sa’di, an artist based in Las Vegas. Novee has an extensive roster of artists that have been performing all over the country. On her travels she met her new artist Sa’di.
Shelly Shell: What was it about Sa’di that drew you to manage him?
Novi J: He has that Triple P effect!!! PASSION, POETIC AND PATIENT!! Sa’di’s birth name is Charles Crawford and he was raised in West Oakland, CA. He is set to release his debut album “Finally” on February 19, 2021 on all digital music platforms.
Saadi: Music was my first love. At the age of 5, I used to sit and listen in amazement to artist such as LL Cool J, Whodini, Uptown Crew, Sugar Hill Gang, Fat Boys, Beastie Boys as well as Kurtis Blow. I listened in a specially reserved “room” provided by my Aunt, whom I still call Lil Vic.
Shelly Shell: You mentioned listening to classic hip hop artist, whose career success inspired you the most?
Sa’di: I would have to say, Kanye West. Shelly Shell: What are your expectations for your first project?
Sa’di: To introduce myself and show artist how to be expressive and different.
Shelly Shell: How would you describe a Sa’di performance?
Sa’di: PASSIONATE. NOT A PERFORMANCE! This is one that should not be slept on or taken lightly. Produced by Sa’di and Dutch Productions, it is unselfishly graced with a couple tracks from outside producers such as Pacific and Loud Plate. Not following any of the rules set for a freshman independent artist out the gate unknown with only 1 model to go by …We want in and we ain’t askin!’
“This album poetically represents justice for the people and any man or woman can relate to a song from this album.” – Novi J.
