The Arts are coming back to Chester Schools

Reading Time: < 1 minute

On a cold, rainy, windy Friday night, when most people would be curled up on the sofa ingesting a diet of pizza and wings and watching Netflix, the community of Chester came out to support the students as they put on Chester’s Got Talent. The performances by Chester’s young people gave the community a glimpse into the major hidden talents here in the city.

In an auditorium packed with parents, students, administrators, and guests–enthusiastic performances showcased a wide array of talent.

It’s been over two decades since CUSD hosted a talent showcase. Social Emotional Learning Coordinator for the CUSD, Dana Bowser, served as Director and Talent for this epic event, which featured 16 acts with 40 students from STEM Academy and Chester High School. The performances were vibrant, with acts showcasing vocal, dancing, instrumental, spoken word, monologues, and a performance by Chester High School Marching Band.
