The absence of the Black Man and Family

Reading Time: 2 minutes

“In the eyes of white America, Black people are criminally suspect. This is especially true for the Black Man. In the fevered mind of white America, he is cosmically guilty. His guilt is universal. For him to be alive is to be suspected, to be stereotypically accused, convicted, and condemned for criminal conspiracy and intent.” Dr. Amos Wilson

Black fathers are the key to the security of the Black nation. If we have responsible, focused, and culturally aware Black men in our communities all around this country, overt colonization will cease to exist. Our enemies know this fact.

Today, our strong Black women who have been forced into the role of single parenthood are fighting an extremely difficult battle of trying to save our race and uphold it until Black men finally begin to live up to our responsibilities.

There are two contributing and main factors that outline the plight of Black men and our beautiful broken family units. (1) Countless numbers of Black men are being sent to the Industrial Prison Complex for extremely long durations of time, and in millions of cases, for the rest of their natural lives. (2) Black men that are so-called free in American society continuously turn our heads and deliberately neglect and ignore millions of fatherless souls.

Absolutely any Black man in society who knows of a relative, childhood friend, comrade, or sibling who is currently behind steel bars, concrete, razor barbed wire, and steel doors, should support the children of that African. Those who do not show love and support to the families of those who have been taken away from society should be banned from our communities.

In fact, there are countless brothers and sisters behind bars; that have fought on the front lines for our freedoms.

Black political prisoners such as Mumia Abu Jamaal, Imam Jamil Al-Amin, Sundiata Acoli, Mutulu Shakur, and Ruchelle Magee have sacrificed their lives for their people. Black political prisoners have represented the best we have to offer and have served with honor, courage, and dedication for over 40 years with very little or no recognition or assistance.
