That Girl Lay Lay hits Philly with concert

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Have you heard of Alaya “That Girl Lay Lay” High? If you are in your early teens, you do? This young rap artist took the industry by storm. At the age of 11, she became the youngest female African American rapper to have a record deal with Empire Distribution, with her debut single “Go, Lay Lay, Go” and debut album, “Tha Cheat Code.”

After her debut single, Alaya signed a contract with Empire Records label. With guest appearances on “Wild n’ Out” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Lay Lay became very popular. Her personality, along with her talent, landed her the lead role as Lay Lay in the Nickelodeon sitcom, “That Girl Lay Lay” in 2021.

“That Girl Lay Lay” is a live-action, multi-camera sitcom focused on Sadie, a freshman at East Packer High. She is smart, passionate, and has a lot to say about the things she cares about. The only problem is that she doesn’t quite know how to speak up. When Lay Lay, an avatar on her phone’s “positive affirmation” app comes to life, she begins to teach Sadie how to take risks and say what’s on her mind. The show has a positive message that will help guide kids in the right direction.

The program can be useful for talking with their children about self-esteem, confidence, bullying, being a follower and not a team leader, and more.

Her television series has become a fan favorite. She has also worked on a series of books with Scholastic Publishing. Local teens will have a chance to see Lay Lay in person on July 8, 7 pm at Miller Theater, 250 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, 19102.

If you are a Real Housewife of Atlanta (RHOA) fan, you might know that this show is having a hard time making a comeback. With flip-flop news about who is returning and who is not, fan favorite NeNe Leakes is not making a comeback.

Instead, she made her television return on the new show “Outrageous Love” with NeNe Leakes, which premiered on Lifetime on Monday, July 1 at 10. The show will bring the former RHOA star into a slightly different format of reality TV. Rather than documenting her life, this new show will allow her to talk about other people’s lives. The show is said to capture the “trials, triumphs, and tribulations of real couples.”

After a seismic cast shakeup, season 16 filming is underway. And, as reported, various sources confirm Kenya Moore has been “indefinitely suspended” after a colossal fallout with newcomer Brittany Eady, a fallout said to center on allegations of “revenge p*rn” played at the launch event of Moore’s new hair spa.

Both ladies have been somewhat non-descript in addressing the specifics of the drama. However, Moore has vehemently denied the “revenge p*rn” claims, insisting she will be vindicated. At the same time, Eady has publicly vented about the potential legalities for those who engage in such actions.

Well, that’s the Philly Beat!!!
