Just before I started writing this column, it hit me that this is my first column of this New Year of 2022. Oh, how I am determined to look at the good things in life that can happen this year as opposed to all the tragic, worrisome, or outright negative things that might also happen.
Today, I want to be the person who says, “The glass is half full,” rather than, “The glass is half empty.” There are some positive things that can happen in 2022, and let me just list some of them for you.
I want there to be a spirit of renewal in the air, a spirit of hope and excitement for positive and uplifting things to be revealed for Philadelphia. I want it to be infectious so that more people will also take on an energy of hopefulness and revived acclamations of “dreams can come true.”
