Sunday, August 27, 2023, the members of Team S.T.R.I.V.E. hosted its 1st lunchbox giveaway to encourage students and parents to pack healthy lunches. In addition to having school supplies, students require fuel to energize them for learning.
Team S.T.R.I.V.E. supplied the vehicle for students to carry the fuel of a healthy lunch with them on their educational journey.
Communities from Chester, Chichester, Media, Eddystone Penncrest, Swarthmore, Bancroft, Toby Farms, Philadelphia, and Delaware showed up, representing multiple school districts.
In addition to receiving a brand new colorfully decorated lunch box, children were treated to the iconic water ice and soft pretzels provided by community favorite J & M Water Ice, face painting by Ms. Asia’s Traveling Art Party, A Musical Petting Zoo, and other giveaways. There were loads of information available to assist parents in helping their students navigate a new school year. Students rocked out to tunes from Chester DJ José Montanez as they enjoyed the summer Sunday before the beginning of the school year.
