Suicide should NOT be Glorified

Reading Time: < 1 minute

I don’t want to ruffle anybody’s feathers, but I just gotta say this. To me, suicide should not be glorified, and I feel like that’s what’s happening with tWitch, the 40-year-old man who took his life last week in a California hotel room.

In making that decision to do that, he ripped apart the very soul of his family. I’ve read a post from his mother on social media. I read a post from his wife on social media. I’ve read Ellen DeGeneres’s post about her former employee that she helped to reach stardom level.

As an outsider looking in, Mr. tWitch looked like he had a life made straight from everyone’s dreams for success. He wasn’t poor. He had fame from “So You Think You Can Dance” and other opportunities. He had talent and ability. It appeared that he and his wife were in love. They had a beautiful family together. He had a movie deal (at least one; that I know of) and some other job opportunities to look forward to in 2023. What could have been so wrong in his life that he decided to end things?

The public may never know the real reason behind this man’s decision to determine the date of his death, but I hope that his family knows why he did what he did.

His given name at birth was Stephen Boss. He was a DJ, a choreographer, and a co-host for the Ellen Degeneres show.
