Stanley Crawford speaks on Gun Violence and Murders in the City as Students, our Children were Standing Up at City Hall

Reading Time: 2 minutes

My SCOOP USA Family here we go again on a Real Walk Down Memory Lane by Way of Today’s Realities!

My good Brother, Stanley Crawford from the Black Male Community Council of Philadelphia (BMCCP), speaks very frankly about one of the most pressing issues here in Philadelphia!

There have been many articles, news stories, and day-to-day conversations about the issue–whether it’s person to person, on-air, through social media, or zooming, it is the talk of the town! Stanley states, “The finger-pointing of individuals within the City Government of Philadelphia is not and will not solve the issues around “Gun Violence and Murder,” particularly within the Black Community. The following Governmental officials, the Mayor, The Police Commissioner, The Police Officers, the DA, City Council Members, and the Judicial Branch of Government all take an oath to Protect and Serve the Citizens of Philadelphia! All are negligent when living up to the OATH of Protecting and Serving the Black Community of Philadelphia. Just this year alone, we have over 2100 wounded Philadelphians and over 524 murdered Philadelphians, which is statistically worst than being in a war zone! I would like to emphasize; the above-mentioned entities must put their differences aside and produce a comprehensive plan to address the violence and killings in the City. If not, it would be a message to the citizenry of the Black Community that they don’t care and have lost all humanity when it comes to serving and protecting Us!!!
