I had the pleasure of meeting Son of the 215 in 2021 at the Uptown Awards. His energy was a whole vibe! His presence exudes realness, love, and appreciation for the OG’s in the game.
He recently performed at Redsnaperrr’s comedy and event, and the crowds were screaming his name. During our recent IG Live interview for my 30 Interviews in 30 days, he discussed his love for Philly and his desire to let everyone know it’s a New Philly; we will make sure everybody makes it.
Shelly Shell: Rap Artist vs. Hip Hop Artist? Which do you prefer?
Son of the 215: Definitely, Hip-hop Artist. I feel like a Hip Hop artist can tap into any genre of music and add that hip-hop feel to it.
Shelly Shell: What or who inspired you to become an artist?
Son of the 215: A lot of different things, but really, my big sis got me started with her music collection, and my best friend growing up was the first to believe in my talent. Their motivation inspired me to take it seriously
