City Councilwoman Cindy Bass recently posted on Facebook, “I’m so excited to announce that the 6000 block of Norwood Street will soon be renamed after the iconic Frankie Beverly. We love you, Frankie!

Media Veteran and influencer Dyana Williams was a guest on Gary Johnson’s “Calculations Talk Show” to discuss her role in the street renaming for music icon Frankie Beverly. “Cindy Bass introduced the legislation that was passed and was well deserved. Frankie Beverly is an iconic figure and his music was an intricate part of our culture.” She said what’s important is he’s still here with us and can enjoy this acknowledgment. His music has transcended through the years to now–where new generations became familiar with his music when Beyonce did a remake of his hit “Before I Let Go.” His legacy will live on long after he is gone.
