Philadelphia, July 29, 2022–With the nation’s propensity for violence and gun violence at an alltime high in the city, Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal held another press conference in the lobby of the Family Court Building to announce more arrests from the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office and the ‘Inter-Agency Partnership.’ Consistently proving her dedication and commitment to the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Philadelphia, Bilal has again managed to remove more criminal elements from the streets.
On Friday, July 30, 2021, Bilal first brought the bold initiative efforts of this collaboration to the citizens via a press conference in the same location. At that time, Bilal’s statistics were also impressive. Of the 176 outstanding warrants, 37 individuals were taken into custody, with a double-barreled shotgun, multiplehandguns, various types of ammunition, an AR-15, 13 jars of marijuana, and 87 marijuana plants, included in the haul.
Sheriff Bilal continues in her commitment to honor the mandate given to her by law-abiding citizens of Philadelphia to help make the city a safer, better place to live. During the July 29 press conference, she announced this year’s recovery of weapons and drugs along with the arrest of 31 fugitives as part of ‘Operation Priority Takedown.’ This was the second part of the sweep that concentrated on perpetrators of violent crimes, outstanding warrants, and history of gun charges.
