After a battle in the Jack Daniel’s New Beginnings Make it Count business grant competition, a team of owners selected three Black female business owners from Philadelphia: Joy Parham, Urban Country; Kimberly Mcglonn, Grant Blvd; Sherri Darden, ScoopUSA Media. These three business owners are survivors who transitioned and were successful during the pandemic. The winners were selected based on their submissions to Jack Daniels and their hard work in Philadelphia.
Jack Daniels and the Enterprise Center hosted a Panel Discussion and Award Ceremony on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at the South Restaurant and Jazz Club to introduce the awardees and give them a chance to share information about their award-winning businesses.
All of the stories were great, and the story that Sherri Horsey Darden shared with the audience was definitely a great one to hear.
