Madame Register, the Honorable Tracey L. Gordon joined Scoop USA Media’s “The Inside Scoop” on Thursday, November 30, 2023. She joined us to discuss the initiatives and programs she accomplished throughout her seated term as Madame Register in the City of Philadelphia Register of Wills Office (ROW) and the Clerk of the Orphans’ Court.
During the discussion, Madame Register Gordon spoke about her position, in particular, what her responsibilities are, the honor of being the first woman and African American to hold the position, and pointed discussions on what family members can do to prevent and protect generational wealth discrepancies after a loved one has passed.
According to Madame Register, it is important to share this information with the communities that may not be aware of ROW, the regulations that families face after a family member passes away, and the enormous financial cost incurred when a loved one passes away.
Aside from discussing the preventative steps that we can take to protect our loved ones, some of the initiatives and programs that Madame Register achieved during her 2020 – 2024 term were highlighted.
For example, in November 2020, Madame Register launched her “Plan, Prepare, and Protect Tour,” which is an educational workshop held throughout Philadelphia.
