Prime Video unveils trailer for epic Biblical Drama House of David

Prime Video has released the official trailer and key art for its highly anticipated biblical drama series, House of David. The series, set to premiere on February 27, 2025, offers a fresh take on the legendary rise of Israel’s most famous king.
House of David is the latest project from acclaimed filmmakers Jon Erwin (Jesus Revolution, American Underdog) and Jon Gunn (Ordinary Angels). The series will launch with three episodes, followed by weekly installments, reaching audiences in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The trailer introduces audiences to Michael Iskander in the title role of David, the shepherd-turned-king who faces the mighty Goliath (Martyn Ford) and embarks on a journey of destiny after being anointed by the prophet Samuel (Stephen Lang). Iskander leads an impressive ensemble cast that includes Ali Suliman (Jack Ryan, Arthur the King) as King Saul, Ayelet Zurer (Angels & Demons, Man of Steel) as Queen Ahinoam, and Martyn Ford (Mortal Kombat 2, The Sandman) as the formidable Goliath.
The series chronicles David’s ascent from an overlooked shepherd to the most celebrated ruler of Israel. As King Saul grapples with his own downfall, Samuel, under divine guidance, anoints David, who seems like an unlikely choice, as the future king. With power slipping through Saul’s fingers, David must navigate love, loss, and courtly intrigue while preparing for his divine calling.
Produced in collaboration with Wonder Project and Amazon MGM Studios, House of David is a joint effort between Nomadic Pictures, Argonauts, Kingdom Story Company, and Lionsgate Television.
