Members of the WURD Radio team on The New World View with David Barnes represented at the US Ghana Chamber of Commerce Second B2B Roundtable Conference in Philadelphia last week, which brought business leaders from all over the world to the attraction. Held at Temple University Fox School of Business, the event was conceived to help deepen discussion and relationships with critical institutions that facilitate international business development and cooperation.

President of the US-Ghana Chamber of Commerce, Florence Torson-Hart said last year’s event resulted in “a massive distribution opportunity with Brown’s ShopRite in the US, which includes 15 ShopRite stores.” The conference will help to create more business partnerships.

Michael Griffin, Honorary Consulate General to Namibia, CEO of Ashanti Produce International, and host of the Africa Matters segment of the New World View Radio Program heard live worldwide, was one of the panelists for agriculture at the conference.

Activities included a meeting at Millersville University; a tour of manufacturing companies; a visit to Hershey Park; a tabletop exhibition; a special meeting with the Governor and the unveiling of a Diasporan/Ghanaian Store at Shoprite.

This Fall, as the culmination of her CFEVA Visual Artist Fellowship, artist Mary Henderson has transformed CFEVA’s gallery into a satellite studio! We invite you to come and take a peek at Mary’s paintings and experience her creative process. In addition, Mary will feature her new project, Commons, which features miniature paintings, scaled to the size of a hand, that are set in West Philadelphia’s iconic Clark Park, steps away from the artist’s home. Inspired in part by the Parisian Park and garden-party paintings of French Impressionist painting, the work imagines this public square as a kind of everyday utopia.

Exhibition: September 21 – October 22, 2023. Gallery Hours Monday-Friday 12:00-6:00 pm
