Danilo Burgos, Chantay Love, E.M.I.R Healing Center, et al.

“I welcome the opportunity to partner with Sen. Sharif Street on this crucial issue that affects all Philadelphians. We must make our voices heard, not just to let residents know that we are exploring all options to make their city safer, but that we are taking their very real concerns to the powers that be in the state Capitol. If there is a plan to make it safer for our children to play in the park, to make it safer for our seniors to sit on their porches – and there is money to execute that plan – then we need to make sure they fund it.” – Sheriff Rochelle Bilal

“The most fundamental role of government is to keep communities safe.  We’ve seen spikes in violence in Philadelphia and across this state. It’s not just in big cities. There are daily reports of violence that we know is positively correlated with hardship. We have a moral and constitutional mandate to work together to give communities across this state the resources they desperately need. I’m proud to partner with Sheriff Bilal and convene the PA Crime Prevention Caucus, a bipartisan and bicameral body that will work together to make our communities safe.” – Senator Sharif Street
