Philadelphia, PA – Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal, in partnership with Pennsylvania Senator Sharif Street, will hold a summit on Friday, Nov. 5 to engage stakeholders and the community and address the continuing cycle of crime and violence that has beset the City of Philadelphia and its residents.
This two-part town hall, which will take place on Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Esperanza, 4261, N. Fifth Street, Philadelphia, PA, 19140 and can be attended in person or virtually. The Crime and Violence Prevention Town Hall, hosted by the bipartisan and bicameral PA Crime Prevention Caucus of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, will feature city and state politicians, law enforcement officials, and community support groups and violence interrupters, and will be a central part of the push in Harrisburg to direct more funds and resources to making communities safer. The PA Crime Prevention Caucus is chaired by Senator Sharif Street (D-3), Senator Mario Scavello (R-40), Representative Austin Davis (D-35), and Representative Natalie Mihalek (R-40).
