We lived to see another Super Bowl come and go. In fact, it was Super Bowl 57, and you know it, yes, I was cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles. I’m a proud Philly woman, and I cheer for all our Philly teams. I so wanted them to win. I honestly feel like the Eagles deserved to win. They worked hard all season. In the spirit of good sportsmanship, I will simply say congratulations to Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs. I’m taking the high road because we, as adults, must demonstrate through our behavior, good sportsmanship to our children and grandchildren and others who are observing our adult behavior. It was a hard pill to swallow. But, just imagine, if so many of us are talking about a “hard pill to swallow,” imagine how the Eagles feel.
It’s ok. True diehard Eagles fans are still 100% behind our Eagles, and we’ll be there cheering you on when the new football season begins.
This column is to celebrate all the wonderful things that unfolded at this year’s Super Bowl, even though we didn’t get to bring home the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy.
