Frontline communities, grassroots organizers, advocates, artists, speakers and residents across Pennsylvania will come together in Harrisburg this spring to demand that our elected leaders take aggressive and immediate action to avert the climate crisis. The 3-day event will include a “Festival for the Planet” and activities that will take place at the Harrisburg Capitol and various locations nearby. The event will include high profile speakers, music, artists, musicians, street theatre and a march on the Capitol. The announcement was made shortly after the release of the bleakest United Nations’ IPCC report to date on Climate Change. The report shows that the scientific evidence is unequivocal: climate change is a threat to human wellbeing and the health of the planet. |
