PHILADELPHIA, November 1, 2022—PECO teamed up with Pacifico Auto Group to donate 300 winter coats to PECO community partners. The Boys & Girls Club of Philadelphia, CONCILIO, and Women Against Abuse are recipients this year as part of Pacifico’s More Than Auto Dealers New Coat Program.
Pacifico Auto Group donated the coats to the PECO Partner organizations, who will distribute the coats to children later in the fall. The Pacific Auto Group will be donating a total of 2,025 children’s coats to community organizations throughout Philadelphia.
At the event Maria Pacifico, President & CEO of Pacifico Auto Group, alongside Romona Riscoe Benson, Director of Corporate & Community Impact at PECO, and leaders from the organization recipients shared remarks. Following the remarks, PECO volunteers loaded trucks to deliver 100 coats to each organization.
Pacifico Auto Group is the longtime preferred service vendor for PECO’s fleet. Their More Than Auto Dealers New Coat Program began in 2008 with one simple mission: to provide new winter coats to underserved children in the five-county region of Philadelphia. Pacifico has donated hundreds of children’s winter coats to local schools and youth programs every year since the program’s inception; and last year, PECO joined their efforts by collecting and delivering coats to PECO community partners that serve families within the Greater Philadelphia region.
