Everybody Dance Now! The Heat Wave didn’t stop the 10 Hours of nonstop musical flow at the first Distro Fest in South Jersey. The musical lineup included 40 artists, National and International, from Who? Mag Distribution. Although I wasn’t there for the entire 10 hours, I arrived just in time for the tribute to Kangol Kid by his daughter Cia and his love Tajiri, kicking Kangol’s lyrics from “Roxanne Roxanne.”
Distro Fest featured some of your favorite legendary artists and independent artists from all over the U.S., including some international artists, plenty of food trucks, vendors, and a beer garden.
The event was hosted by Gervase Peterson (from TV.s “Survivor”), DJ Diamond The Artist (former D.J. for Prince, Beyonce, and EPMD), DJed for C&C Music Factory & Freedom Williams, and Cia & Tajiri’s Tribute to Kangol Kid. The lineup of artists included; Raz B of B2K. C&C Music Factory is best known for their five hit singles: “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now),” “Here We Go (Let’s Rock & Roll),” “Things That Make You Go Hmmm…,” “Just a Touch of Love,” and “Keep It.”
