New Options More Opportunities, (NOMO), is about “Mission to Help Save Our Youth”

Helping to address the violence in our city is something that shouldn’t just come from law enforcement, or school educators and staff, or even from clergy. Addressing a city gone mad with violence and a death rate for 2021 that’s already surpassed 2020 is more than a notion. The effort must come from a coalition of organizations, agencies, lawmakers, parents, clergy, educators, and others, as well as from organizations that are designed specifically to address violence and conflicts. To some degree, I believe that violence on our streets is tied to drug dealing, drug abuse, certain populations of people not having employable skills, lack of education, mental health challenges, and in some scenarios, plain old apathy.
