Tuesday of last week saw the groundbreaking of the coming Access Community Center at the site of the former Pulaski Middle School located at West Seventh and Booth Streets.
The idea is the brainchild of Jack Surgent, a Villanova University graduate and a successful CPA, that created a non-profit organization to build the 3 million dollar installation, which he hopes will provide a safe haven for residents’ enjoyment.
Through his involvement with the Sisters at Drexel Neumann Academy, an independent Catholic School located at 19th and Potter Streets in Chester and their other charity, Annie’s Place, a Hospitality Center, sponsored by the Sisters of Saint Francis, located at 2nd & Norris Streets.
