National Law Enforcement Day

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Saturday, January 21, 2021 was “National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.” Our community started to honor our law enforcement community of heroes a day early with the delivery of some home baked goods early Friday morning. This effort was followed up with the a delivery of those iconic doughnuts from our friends at Phatso’s and more treats of scrumptious mini muffins, cupcakes and a aromatic g

inger cake, from our friend Michelle Chance at Sweet Chances Bakery, located in the food court in the Market Place on 4th Street in Chester. The celebration was culminated by a visit from some of the children from the Chester Boys and Girls Club; whom of course came bearing gift bags for our humble unsung heroes. Chester Chaplains President, Dr. Lisa Dennis was on hand for the expressions of gratitude; as she initiated and facilitated the event. Our officers were pleasantly surprised, filled with gratitude and pride in the community’s show of support.

This is a excellent example of our community working together for the better good.
