MEDIA, PA, October 3, 2022—The Media Arts Council’s newest music and community program, Jasper Street Jam!, is hosting the Bluegrass Music Festival in its final installment of the year on Saturday, October 22, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Jam takes place on Jasper Street between Jackson and Monroe. Patrons can enter through the MAC Arts Center, MAC’s Art Gallery and Performance Venue, at 11 E. State Street, across from the Armory Building.
The Jasper Street Jams bring the greater community together with live bands, street food, and art to Media Borough in Delaware County. Jeff Thomas, MAC Music Director, says, “We created the Jasper Street Jam to bring excellent bands together in a way that feels like a really fun block party, but with the kind of music and sound that you’d get at a much bigger event. It’s only $10, and that money goes directly to the bands. The addition of local artists selling their original works and the great local food vendors have made it the community event MAC is striving to provide to Media.”
The current line-up at the Jam includes:
Hezekiah Jones, fronted by local songwriter Raph Cutrufello, is a phenomenally talented American Roots and Alternative Folk band comprised of a stellar line-up of Philadelphia’s best musicians.
The Manatawny Creek Ramblers, hailing from Berks County PA, is the bluegrass brainchild of local singer-songwriter Daniel S. Bower. The highly respected Manatawny Creek Ramblers are lauded in the bluegrass festival circuit for their traditional and original songs since 2004.

MAC Executive Director Liz McClearn says, “We’ve been thrilled with the community reaction and support. The performers love the Jams, in no small part because of the enthusiasm from the audience.”
The lead sponsor for the Jasper Street Jam: Bluegrass Festival is Morris Brothers Investments. MAC supporters include the Borough of Media, Rhile Carpentry, and Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union.
