“Women in Business Month” typically refers to October, which is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the achievements and contributions of women in the business world.

During this time of the year, we will acknowledge the challenges women have overcome and the successes they have achieved in various industries. This recognition is important for highlighting the role of women in entrepreneurship and leadership.

Women have made significant strides and contributions to various sectors. Here are some notable women in business listed below.

Actually, I refer to these women as “mentors” in my head because I have not met them personally, but I have watched their every move. Mentors cut the learning curve for your aspirations. I have two mentors that I talk to on a regular basis, and then I have these “mentors” in my head.

• Ursula Burns – the CEO of Xerox, making history as the first black woman to lead a Fortune 500 company.

• Rosalinda Brewer – Brewer is the COO of Starbucks and has held executive roles at Wal-Mart, making her one of the most prominent women in corporate leadership.

• Melody Hobson – As the co-CEO and President of Ariel Investments, Hobson is a well-respected figure in finances and investment.

• Janice Bryant Howroyd- She is the founder and CEO of the ActOne Group, one of the largest workforce solutions companies in the US.

As an Entrepreneur, Business Owner, Boss, Founder, CEO, Innovator, Startup Founder, Small Business Owner, Business person, Self Employed Professional, Sole Proprietor, Visionary, Industrialist, Tycoon, Business leader, Merchant, Creative Professional, Digital Nomad, Serial Entrepreneur, Hustler, Franchisee and Technopreneur, or whatever you may call yourself you could always use some advice. This particular article is geared toward women entrepreneurs because we are celebrating the achievements of women in business. However, the torch is being passed or ignited. May we ignite the power of all the Boss Ladies. This is an open letter.

Dear Boss Ladies,

Salute Ladies for believing in yourself, continuously investing in your education and skills, and being open to mentorship.

Having a strategic networking plan–while embracing diversity.

Business ownership requires resilience, goal setting, financial literacy, and advocacy, and you did that. We do not forget the work-life balance. Self-care is essential to the lifestyle.

Community engagement and the confidence to speak up, overcome stereotypes, and celebrate achievements are the moments we enjoy the most.

Supportive Network and continuous innovation is what keeps you going. Keep pushing. Keep grinding. Keep hustling and loving life because we see you and appreciate you.
