“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” A famous quote by the renowned Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw. Shaw’s quote begs the question, what type of life are we creating during our lifespan?
Ancient rite says humanity is fearfully and wonderfully made in the sacred image of God. Sadly, we have sorely corrupted that original purposeful and divine design. Instead of living an abundant virtuous life of truth, honesty, justice, purity, love, joy, peace, temperance, patience, meekness, and goodness, the lifespan of humanity has reflected debaucherous virtues. We have tainted our lifespan with rebellion, treachery, hate, envy, discord, killing, lusts, lies, wicked imaginations, mischief, discord, and other ignoble and detrimental character flaws that have ultimately shortened our divine lifespan.
