Living for Tomorrow hosted an elegant, black-tie Gala at the Victorian Banquet Hall. The hall was beautifully decorated with black and gold décor and MC’d by Elleanor Jean Hendley, an Emmy Award-winning former television news journalist and public-school teacher.
The evening began with live music by Stacey McGee & The Real Tyme Players, while dinner was served with your choice of Salmon, Chicken, or Roast Beef. The dinner was so good everyone wanted seconds. The evening continued with notable guest speakers, Lenora Pope; Dr. Nina Ahmad; Jamie R. Gauthier, elected to represent the Third Councilmanic District; Sister Taleah Taylor, President of City of Dreams Coalition and Shelly Shell Williams, Executive Director of X-pressions, Inc.
The elegant evening featured live performances by Thanny & Tracy, Touch’e of Chazz, and special guests. I served as MC for the second half of the evening.
It was my pleasure to host and speak at the Living for Tomorrow Gala. I even took a moment to dance with the youngin’s Jord and Joc as they said, this was the best night ever.
