K-8th Grade Scholarships from Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia remain available for 2022-2023

Reading Time: < 1 minute

PHILADELPHIA – K-8th grade partial scholarships are still available for under-resourced Philadelphia families interested in sending their students to tuition-based schools for fall 2022. Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (CSFP) is accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year until March 1.

This year CSFP is able to provide more scholarships than ever before, offering 2,500 spots for Philadelphia students. The organization distributes need-based, four-year scholarships by random lottery each year to K-8th grade students, many of whom face barriers to quality education. CSFP partners with more than 160 diverse, K-8th grade, tuition-based schools in the Philadelphia area, which allows parents to find a school that fits their child’s individual needs.

“Philadelphia families deserve access to quality education regardless of their income or where they live. Our scholarship lottery gives parents the opportunity to choose where their child goes to school,” said Keisha Jordan, Executive Director of Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia. “So much has felt beyond our control throughout the course of this pandemic, especially for parents and guardians. We want to encourage families across the city to apply for our scholarships and know that they can be in control of their child’s future, at least when it comes to their education.”
