Lord God Our Father We Thank For Your Son Jesus, Who Came To Save Us From Our Sins. Amen.
There are many great nights mentioned in the Bible. Some of them are laden with tragedy, and others are bright with hope.
It was a great night when God sent his death angel down into Egypt. This meant tragedy for the Egyptian, for the firstborn in every home, died that night. But, it meant salvation for the Israelites because they were safe behind the Blood of Lamb without blemish. This was a picture of the salvation that we enjoy in Christ Jesus.
It was a great night when Jacob slept beneath the stars and dreamed of a ladder reaching up into heaven with the angels ascending and descending upon that ladder.
It was a great night when the heavens opened up and revealed unto a young Priest named Ezekiel the similitude and visionary attributes of God thru a wheel in the Middle of a Wheel.
It was a great night when Belshazzar feasted in the place and saw the writing upon the wall, “Thou art weighed in the balances and found wanting.” That night Belshazzar met this death.
It was a great night when Shad, Meshach, and Abednego had a prayer meeting with the Son of Man in a Fire Furnace.
It was a great night when Daniel spent all night in the Lion’s Den protected by the almighty hand of God.
It was a great night when Nicodemus came to Jesus, and the Master uttered the great eternal truth, “Ye must be born again.”
It was a great night when Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, saying, “Not my will but thine be done.”
It was a great night when Paul and his companions were shipwrecked but were saved by the Grace of God and made it to shore on the pieces of the ship.
It was a great night when Paul and Silas sat in a jail cell but prayed and sang praises unto God at midnight, and heaven responded with a great earthquake that shook up the prison foundations and set God’s servants free.
But the greatest and grandest night of all the years was the night when a young homeless, unwed teenage girl gave birth to the Son of God in a shed situated in a back alley located in the heart of the Ghetto.
Christmas may be a time of gifts and travel, a time of visitation and fellowship, but most of all, it must be a time when we tell others about our Savior!
So go tell it on the mountain, over the hills, and everywhere. Go tell it on the mountain That Jesus Christ was born.
He was born to be our Savior. He was born to die for our sins. He was born to save us. He was born that we might be reborn. He was born to teach us. He was born for us to love one another. He was born to help us walk right. He was born to help us talk right. He was born to help us live right. Yes, He was born so we could live in our Father’s House with Many Mansions.
So go tell it on the mountain, over the hills, on the street corners, on the drug corner, and in the projects, in the Bars, on your jobs, tell it! When they want to hear it! When they don’t want to hear it. Tell It! If they try to shut you up, just tell it! Tell it everywhere that Jesus Christ is born!
Merry Christmas to All and To All a Good Night!
