In the name of Allah (God)!

Reading Time: 4 minutes

In The Name of Allah(God)…that should be the cry, that should be the call for all the people of God. Why not do things in the name of Allah (God)? We are in trouble, our families are in trouble, our communities are in trouble, this Nation is in trouble, but why? Where is God in all this? What does God (Allah) think about our current condition? How do we begin to fix it? We need to move forward in The Name of Allah (God)! It would be very difficult to invoke The Name of Allah (God) then lie! It would be very difficult to invoke The Name of Allah (God) then kill! It would be very difficult to invoke The Name of Allah (God) then steal! According to dictionary.com, the word invoke is to cite or appeal to (someone or something) as an authority for an action or in support of an argument. Listen, Allah (God) must become active in our lives! We have no other option if we want to live!
Now, after you and I invoke The Name of Allah (God), righteous communication should follow, giving way to righteous actions. We should do more things in The Name of Allah (God) to set the tone and create an atmosphere free from sin. The Bible says, “Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.” (Ephesians 6:18) Minister Farrakhan said in Grand Rapids, MI, September 2019, at a church, “We have to stop playing Church! We have to stop playing Mosque or Temple!” The practice of our faith must become a reality. Our works bear witness to what we are.
One of our problems is that our lip profession shows our hypocrisy because our actions are not congruent. For example, when is the last time you talked about a person behind their back? Some people call this gossip or slander, but if you have a problem with someone, why not speak with that person to clear the air? When is the last time you took an unauthorized break at your job? When is the last time you used company supplies for personal use? When is the last time you helped someone? When is the last time you clothed someone? So, you promised to pay a person back next week, but have you? When is the last time you ministered to someone incarcerated? We could go on and on, but I think we get the point, and we need to do better. The Bible says, “Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’” (Matthew 25:37:40) Walking with Allah (God) and striving to obey Him is not a daily activity but a life journey that leads to our salvation. Please do not think that this is foolish, that we see in this world, none of it will be in the Hereafter. We must rid ourselves of anything that does not reflect Allah (God), and obeying His laws, is the only way we will not take His name in vain.
We need to read and apply the word of Allah (God) and live according to His guidance so that we will be worthy of Allah’s (God’s) mercy and grace. Allah (God) needs to see that we are striving hard to obey Him, and by invoking His name before we do or say something will protect us from sin. The Bible says, “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people…” (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
In closing, this is my last article in which will have a title. God willing (Insha’Allah), the column is going to be called The Truth Applied. The goal and objective of the column will be to connect with people in the community who are striving to live by the word of Allah (God) and share how they are working their faith. I will interview people in The Name of Allah (God) so that the communication, while they share their testimony, will be elevating. I am so excited! When people are living by the word of God(Allah) and helping others, their story should be told. This will encourage others, and God (Allah) knows we need to hear good news. Please visit, www.allegradmuhammad.com for more information and to purchase products, to hear forthcoming interviews, and to let me know of upcoming events. Thanks!
In The Name of Allah (God), I want to give a heartwarming thanks to all that have read at least one of the articles, and I pray that you will continue to support me through this transition. I pray that you are improving! It is impossible to study and apply the word of God (Allah) without improving. If you have improved in the past year, it is not the word of Allah (God), but we must look at how we are applying the word to our lives and make the necessary changes to get the desired result.
I see this change as an improvement being a step in the right direction, and I thank Sherri for this opportunity to continue to share positive thoughts while becoming a better columnist for Scoop.
