O Lord Our God, We Thank You Because Your Mercy And Your Grace Are Things We Can Be Sure Of. Amen
The more I live, the more I realize that life is full of ups and downs, and we all have our issues and struggles. We always need to figure out what will happen daily. Life is so uncertain. Therefore, I can confidently say that I am so glad I know The Lord. I am so happy because each day makes this wise saying that my grandmother said so true: “If it ain’t one thing, it’s another.”
We look at the news and read the paper, and what we hear and see, in most cases, is horrible. People being murdered, car accidents, robberies, unemployment rising, government and business scandals, unrest in foreign countries, wars, and rumors of war. “If it ain’t one thing, it’s another.”
“Husband murders wife, mother tries to kill her children, child arrested for selling drugs, mate caught cheating on spouse, father molesting child, family is homeless due to fire, woman raped in park, women kidnapped and held for years, Congress cannot agree on important issues, political fighting, disrespect for the President, revengeful politicians. “If it ain’t one thing, it’s another.”
Man hurt in hit-and-run accidents, snowstorms cause schools and businesses to close, rainstorms cre- ate major mudslides, and forest fires destroy homes. Flooding causes evacuations, a hurricane destroys thousands of homes, thousands are without electrical power, and tornados rip through neighborhoods. “If it ain’t one thing, it’s another.”
Companies downsizing and laying people off, a child in court suing her parents, priests molesting children, school shootings, and children being neglected. Planes being hijacked, cars stolen, cars being repossessed, police corruption and brutality “If it ain’t one thing, it’s another.”
It’s cold outside, and the heating bill is high. The roof is leaking, the furnace is not working right, the water pipe is busted, and the water heater needs replacement. The property taxes went up and are due. “If it ain’t one thing, it’s another.”
Parents are sick, a family member dies, health problems arise, a doctor gives you bad news, cancer, heart attack, brain tumor, stroke, a child born with congenital disabilities, drug addiction, and alcoholism have caused significant problems. All this, and you don’t have health care. “If it ain’t one thing, it’s another.”
Food prices are going up, and food has cancer-causing ingredients. Don’t eat this, and don’t eat that. There is coronavirus, West Nile virus, HIV, and bird flu, to name a few. Bills, bills, and more bills. I tell you, “If it ain’t one thing, it’s another.”
AND DONALD TRUMP WANTS TO BE CALLED A KING! “If it ain’t one thing, it’s another.”
The list could go on and on. That’s why I said I’m so glad I know THE LORD. You see all of these issues and problems our GOD can handle. There are many things in this world that are uncertain. We never know what will happen daily, but I can say something like that old hymn writer who wrote:
“There are some things I may not know. There are some places I can’t go, but I am sure of this one thing: GOD is real, for I can feel HIM deep within.”
Yes, GOD is accurate, and because HE is real and still on the throne, He can and will take care of you no matter what may come your way. Beloved, that should put a smile and praise on your lips. Now get your praise on. So get it, get it! Yeah, get it, get it!
I got it, and I get it, do you?
