Twin brothers from Philadelphia are on their way to fame. Born August 19, 2004, identical twins Syheem and Sybree Williams Rockeymore have been lively and very active–from the time they could walk and talk. Little did the boys or their parents know that in 2022, some of the rhyming, rapping, and hard work they did in 2021 would get the attention of Motown Record executives. They just graduated from Imhotep Charter School three weeks ago, and their future in the entertainment industry is looking good.
For ten years, from the age of six until 16, the boys were very much into playing football. Before playing football for their high school, they played for the Northwest Raiders. They’re so good at football that they’ve garnered attention from several colleges and universities. However, as the story goes, it was during the height of the Pandemic, when they were in the house much of the time, their Mom, La Tonya Rockeymore, started noticing her boys rapping skills.
“At first, I just thought they were playing around, and so I didn’t take it seriously, said Rockeymore. But the more I listened, I thought to myself-these boys are good. They’ve got something here. The next step for them was that they started going into a studio lined up by their father. Last October, November, they really started going into the studio, putting their rhymes together and making videos on their own. At the same time, they started linking up with other artists. Then one day, they came home and said, “Mom, we made a song. You wanna hear it?”
