My Good Brother Lee Tolbert Sr. brought consciousness to West Philly through the West Philadelphia Community and Business Coalition that We will Grow, Prosper, and make Life extraordinary, even for the non-believers. His approach to building, organizing, and plans of action was to be bold, firm, and steadfast in All You Do. He had the ears of the Preachers, the backs of the Politicians, and the hearts of the People because His agenda was genuine, pure, and always for “What was best for the Community as a Whole!” He was a Man of great integrity, honorable, humble, and someone You could depend upon!
These things we are witnessing, experiencing, and living through each and every day happen because the Brothers and Sisters of Tolbert’s works and outreaches seem lost and unattainable! What is it? Today’s messages are not touching the hearts, the minds, or the inner-essence of the many lost souls destroying the communities, killing so many innocent people from Our Babies to Our Elders, and things sadly are moving along. All’s Well on the Home Front!!! Nonetheless, the Love, the Impact, and the phenomenal Legacy Our Good Brother has left is being celebrated and enshrined by The Office Of The Mayor of Yeadon Borough through a Proclamation certifying Monday, September 18, 2023, as Lee Tolbert Day in Yeadon Borough.
In closing, there were many Messages of Condolences, Great Reflections from Family and Friends, Proclamations from every level of Government, and Heartfelt Sharing from many Elected Officials more than push forth the authenticity of this Praiseworthy, Godsent People Champion, My Brother, My Teacher, My Mentor, My Friend. Paraphrasing Our Great State Representative of the 191st Legislative District and Speaker of the House Joanna McClinton stated,
Lee Baron Tolbert set the path, made the way, and put everything in place for her to be where she is today even before she was born. His works, His dedication, and His commitment to advancing His People have “Done The Same For Many Others!
Rest on Good Brother! For Your Works, Your Deeds, Your Life Well Lived!
Yours Pushing Fiercely Forward, Brother Tyrone L. Reed
