Good things are happening for Philadelphia voters. The Philadelphia City Commissioners Office, the entity in Philadelphia that handles all things related to voting in Philadelphia, has recently come out with an announcement during a press conference designed to help make things even easier for Philadelphia voters as we head towards the Tuesday, April 23 Primary Election and the General Election on the 2nd Tuesday in November.
First, you should know that every Saturday for the rest of this year, you can hear Chairman of the City Commissioners Omar Sabir hosting a radio program on WURD AM/FM where the subject is wrapped around voting, voting rights, voter registration, and educating would-be voters about what political offices are up for grabs.
The program is broadcast from 8 am to 9 am, and you can call in and ask questions of the Commissioner. The call-in number for WURD Radio is 215-634-8065, or toll-free at 1-866-361-0900.
Before we get into the news announced during the press conference this past week with all three city commissioners in attendance, let me just run through the offices where voters will decide who the Democratic and Republican nominees will be that will face off against each other during the general election in November. Of utmost importance is the Tuesday, April 23, 2024, Primary Election in Pennsylvania.
What’s at stake in Pennsylvania?
Every single political office that is up for grabs is important. However, you can’t get higher than the President of the United States. Who do you want to be in charge of our nation for four years, starting in 2025? That’s a major decision that must be made. There are also all the other important elected positions that need to be filled.
