Get Out and VOTE

Reading Time: < 1 minute

There are about six (6) days left until Primary Election Day in Pennsylvania. By the time many of our wonderful SCOOP Readers see this edition of our newspaper, there will be fewer days than that until E-Day.

This year, we have taken a stand at the SCOOP Newspaper, not to give political candidates a whole lot of “free space” (as we normally provide bios and information for all candidates) to pitch themselves to would-be voters because many political candidates do not support this community newspaper “at all” throughout the year or during election cycles. We acknowledge and clearly understand that as a communications outlet, that does sincerely care about the fate of our community, we are and still feel compelled to inform our readers and provide some political education in preparation for the Tuesday, May 17th PA Primary.

So here goes:

First off, the polls open at 7 am and remain open until 8 pm. For those of you who did not participate in early voting or vote by mail, and you still want to vote, then you know what you have to do is, you have to go to the polling place designated for the area where you live. If you are not aware of where to go vote, or the voting location changed recently, then you can call the Philadelphia City Commissioners’ Office and give your address, and they will inform you of where to go vote. Call 215-686-3462.
