From Trauma and Tragedy to Triumph

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Rosalind and Kyle Davis were among the numerous parents nationwide that lost children to the epidemic of gun violence plaguing the United States.

The epidemic shows no signs of abating. Instead of diminishing, it appears to be on a steady incline, causing deep seeded pain; and in the aftermath leaving families with endless suffering. While it should be noted that gun violence has increased all across the country in the three years post-pandemic, most of the crimes committed with firearms have been in underserved communities with victims.

The Davis’ have turned the painful loss of their son into a crusade to benefit families and youth in the Chester community. Ny Ques Farlow-Davis was thirteen years old when his life was violently stolen from him by cowardly individuals intent on doing harm to another human being. Farlow-Davis was a pleasant, highly regarded young man who had his entire life in front of him. He was an excellent student, an accomplished young athlete, and an all-around asset in his community (something he learned from his parents).
