There is no better way to enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas than being a passenger on a decorated SEPTA bus or trolley. Since 2013, SEPTA employees have transformed many of their vehicles into extraordinary works of Christmas art.
Each year, 12 SEPTA trolleys are decorated to kick off the Christmas holiday season. Each district works hard to come up with a Christmas theme to attract SEPTA riders on its vehicles. Donations are received from co-workers, and personal time is used to work on the trolleys and buses. They start decorating the buses and trolleys in November, completing their spectacular display by the first week of December.
